AUSTIN, TEXAS, United States (TheSportsNEXT) November 19, 2012: Lewis Hamilton of McLaren won the US Grand Prix 2012 Sunday after championship leader Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull failed to grab his third straight title on his 100th career start in Austin city of Texas, United States.


All was not lost for the Red Bulls though as they won the constructors’ title for the third consecutive season at the US Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettle finishing the race in second place.

With victory of Lewis Hamilton in Austin, Texas, the race for the F1 Championship title has become even more intriguing as the final race of the season in Brazil next Sunday will decide if Sebastian Vettel can hold on to his slender 13 points lead over Fernando Alonso of Ferrari at Sau Paulo.

Fernando Alonso was the third quickest driver in the US Grand Prix 2012.
