World Number 3 Rafael Nadal of Spain
NEW YORK (TheSportsNext) September 3, 2012: World number three tennis player Rafael Nadal of Spain announced Monday that he will not be available on national duty for the Davis Cup semi-final against United States.







The star tennis maestro said in a statement issued here that he has extended his long injury layoff by another two months and can’t represent Spain in the high-profile semi-final tie.

The statement said, "Nadal will not play in the next two months and will stop to rest and recover his knee. Among other things he won't be able to be at the disposal of the Spanish Davis Cup captain for the semi-finals tie against the USA”.
