ISLAMABAD (TheSportsNext) August 27, 2012: Former Pakistani skipper Younus Khan may not be seen in action during the upcoming limited overs series against Australia but the top order batsman will be in action on television during the series as cricket expert.

Top cricketers these days take keen interest in joining leading sports channels in their respective countries after retirement or when they are not being selected. Kevin Pietersen is another cricketer who is set to commentate during the ICC World Twenty20 2012 if England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) allowed him to do so.

Sources told TheSportsNext.com on Monday that PTV Sports, Pakistan’s state sports channel, has hired Younus Khan for the upcoming Pakistan-Australia series as well as the ICC World Twenty20 2012 as cricket expert.

It would be interesting to view Younus Khan’s views on television as cricket expert as he has a vast experience of international cricket and his assessment of the cricket situations will be right up to the mark.

It is important to mention here that Younus Khan has represented Pakistan in 245 ODIs for 6,824 career runs at an average of 32.18 runs per innings, 79 Test matches for 6,656 runs at an average of 51.69 runs per innings, and 25 Twenty20 Internationals for 442 runs at an average of 22.10 runs per innings. Younus Khan has highest score of 313 runs in Test cricket, 144 in One Day Internationals, and 51 in Twenty20 Internationals.
