LAHORE, Pakistan (TheSportsNEXT) December 3, 2012: Teams of Lahore, Sialkot, Karachi and Quetta registered victories in the U19 National Women Cricket Championship here at Lahore Country Club ground A and B on Monday.


At Lahore Country Club Ground A, Lahore U-19 outclassed Rawalpindi by 63 runs. Lahore U-19 scored 126 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Fareeha Mehmood scored 19 runs, Nimra Imran 18 and Natalia Pervaiz 15. Taiba took 2-19 and Faiza Khalid 2-21. In reply, Rawalpindi were all out on 63 runs in 15.4 overs. Only Madeeha Rasheed (16) reached double figures. Kainaat Hafeez bagged 2-13. Fareeha Mehmood and Kainaat Hafeez of Lahore U-19 were jointly named players of the match.

In another match of the day, Sialkot U-19 thrashed Peshawar by eight wickets. Peshawar scored partly 69 runs in 18.5 overs with only Saira scoring 17 runs. Asma Bashir clinched 2-12, Anam Shahzadi 2-12 and Maira Nasir 2-20. Sialkot, in reply, achieved the target in 12.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Iqra Zawaz was top scorer with 30 runs and Rabia Liaqat made unbeaten 21. Iqra Nawaz was player of the match.

At Lahore Country Club Ground B, Quetta U-19 beat Bahawalpur by two wickets. Bahawalpur scored 98-7 in 20 overs. Aneela Kanwal made uneaten 19, Aman Gul clinched 3-13, Hina Sadiq 2-22 and Seema Malik 2-19. In reply, Quetta chased the target for the loss of eight wickets in 19.1 overs. Aman Gul was top scorer with unbeaten 25 runs while Kanwal Wasy made 20. Samia Khalid got 2-14. Aman Gul of Quetta was declared player of the match.

In another match at the Lahore Country Club ground b, Karachi U-19 downed Hyderabad by six wickets. Hyderabad made 77-7 in 20 overs. Abbottabad achieved the target in 9.5 overs for the loss of five wickets with Rubab Akhtar made 36.
