David Beckham ends LA Galaxy stint with MLS Cup title

WASHINGTON, United States (TheSportsNEXT) December 2, 2012: Former England soccer captain and the most-loved soccer player in the world David Beckham ended his stint with Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday on a high note.

The Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Houston Dynamo by three goals to one to retain the MLS Cup title on Saturday and David Beckham who had already announced cutting his ties with the LA Galaxy ended the five and a half years stay at the American soccer club in a remarkable fashion.

Houston Dynamo took the lead in 44^th minute with Calen Carr providing the goods with a fierce strike.

However, the Los Angeles Galaxy came into second half with all guns blazing and Omar Gonzalez equalized the affair in the 60^th minute before Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane converted the penalties in 65^th minute and 93^rd minute respectively.

As soon as the referee blew the final whistle, the crowd stood on their feet to give the 37-year-old soccer star David Beckham a standing ovation.

This is the second time during his over five years stay at the LA Galaxy that he has won the MLS Cup. Interestingly, the LA Galaxy had defeated the same opposition last year by 1-0 to clinch the title.
