KARACHI (TheSportsNext) August 28, 2012: Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) women wing, on Tuesday, announced a 14-member squad for the ICC World Twenty20 2012 women’s tournament due to be held in Sri Lanka in September, 2012.



Right-arm leg spin bowler Sana Mir has been retained as captain of the side while Fatima Abidi has been handed the job to act as her deputy.

The Pakistan women cricket team has recently played exceptionally well and won the three-nation tournament held in Ireland involving Bangladesh apart from the home side.

Pakistan’s women squad for the ICC World Twenty20 2012 Women’s tournament includes Sana Mir (Captain), Syeda Nain Fatima Abidi (Vice Captain), Bismah Maroof, Javeria Wadood, Nida Dar, Marina Iqbal, Syeda Batool Fatima (Wicketkeeper), Qanita Jalil, Asmavia Iqbal Khokar, Sumaiya Siddiqi, Elizabath Barkat, Sadia Yusaf, Nahida Bibi and Javeria Rauf.
