COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (TheSportsNEXT) October 3, 2012: South Africa and India women cricket teams qualified for the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 2014 after winning their respective playoffs against Pakistan and Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
South Africa edged Pakistan out by five wickets after Pakistan managed only 87 for eight from their 20 overs.
South Africa completed the target on fifth delivery of the final over and got an automatic qualification into the next Women’s WT20 event.
In the other playoff of the day, Indian women defeated hosts Sri Lankans by nine wickets with 32 balls to spare.
